LCD's are electronic devices which are used for display of information in from of text or visuals. They are generally not as thick as regular monitors and are more like thin panels. They are used in various ways; as television screens, as monitors for desktops etc. These LCDs are so popular because they have the advantages namely those of lesser weights and portability. They take up very less space and are amazingly stylish. LCD's though are very much to your advantage they generally have a huge price. There are a lot of cheap LCD monitors available in the market, and since the demand of such monitors has increased, the prices have become more and more competitive.

Many branded companies are now cashing on the increasing market for such monitors. Leading the pack is BENQ. The company provides monitors at rates from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 12000. Then there also are companies like ACER and Hewlett Packard who also offer monitors are good rates. Cheap LCD monitors are available in the market but they are often difficult to find and tricky to choose. A lot of things have to be kept in mind before choosing your cheap LCD monitor. Cheap LCD monitors are generally what they profess to be, cheap. They are generally without either an HDMI or a DVI. These are connectors which are responsible for a quality picture in the LCD monitors and support of different formats of videos. Then it may also happen that the speakers on the panels are not included at all.

It is always advisable to test the LCD monitor before one actually buys it. A lot also depends on the size. If the size of the screen is small then the LCD costs come down. The resolution of the monitor is also another factor which makes a LCD cheap or not. Different resolutions like VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA or UXGA, WXGA/WUXGA are different resolutions of the screens. The visual quality depends a lot on it. But the performance is something that should never be compromised with. There is another factor known as the response time which is very important given the different kinds of tasks to be performed using the said style of screen. For people using an LCD screen for gaming need the response time has to lower than 20ms while for people who need the LCD for official work the response time can be 24ms. Things like these have to be kept in mind while choosing the screen best for you.
