And this is the claim that the XFX 5770 can not. In just two DVI ports, DisplayPort and HDMI, is a no-frills card. This lack of HDMI makes it less suitable for home theater, which leaves in its pure form player of the card.
but this makes up for it in elegance. While all the other 5770s tested by us are dual-width XFX card is slim and one which is a boon for smaller, more sexy, configuration, SFF, and leaves more room for the ingredients to breathe. Lets see how it fairs in the performance stakes.
HD 5770s have tested five of the leading manufacturers with each other to see who hits the price / performance sweetspot when it comes to mid-range and high-end gaming. Also cranked up the settings(HDR, Anti-aliasing, reflections, etc.) even at medium resolutions, to see how these cards can they really are.
We have tested each card game and the following settings:
Heaven 2.1
1900 x 1200, 8xAA, 16XAS, Extreme Tessalation
Just Cause 2
Medium: 1680 × 1050, 8xAA, 16xAF High setting
High-end: 1920 × 1200, 8xAA, 16xAF, High settings
Far Cry 2

DiRT 2

In most tests, XFX offers equivalent results than most of the 5770s tested. It is worth noting that scored the lowest in our test 2.1 Tessellation Heaven, but only 0.1 FPS.

If you are satisfied with the 22 monitor and want zingy performance on a budget, this is probably the cheapest way to achieve this. For a price equivalent to the Nvidia 285, that this setup will blow out of the water, it quite appetizing. Oh, and did we mention 5770 is capable of DX11? Yum.
and that lower price point really represents: the prospect of CrossFire configuration twin-cards and pretty feisty on it.
