Video Driver Update – How To Update Video/Display Card Driver In Minutes
A lot of people want to update video card drivers, but few do it correctly. This article will give you so guides to update video card driver easily. These guides are also applicable to all drivers.
Firstly, check the model of your graphic card, manufacturer and Windows operating system. Secondly, download the latest driver from the official website of the manufacturer to your computer. And lastly, install the driver on your computer. It seems very simple, but few people do it correctly.
Check your video card model
1) Open Device Manager.
Right click My computer and select Properties. Then the Properties Window opens and click Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager. The Device Manager will pop up.
2) Check the video card model.
Click Video Card. You will see the model of it. Keep that in mind or write it down.
Download driver.
Go to manufacturer website, find the latest driver for the video card and Windows Operating System. Drivers for the same device are different from an operating system to another. If you are using Vista, you won’t want to download the one for Windows XP.
Install The Latest Driver
After download complete, double-click the EXE file and run it. Then follow the guide and complete installation. The process may be different due to different manufacturer of display cards. The installation process of ATI driver is different from NVIDIA. After installation complete, the latest driver will automatically replace the old one. Then restart your computer.
This way not only can be used to video/display card driver, but also applicable to other driver like audio card, mother card, scanner, printer, hard disk and so on. They are just a little different from each other.
