Another A8NSLI Premium Vmod
am looking for vmode support on ASUS A8N SLI. I have a similar board in my system. I found a bit difficult to work on overclocking. So I want to setup te vmod as per my need on the board. How to do that and what are the risk involve in this. I had also found that this can blow up the board which will of no use. So what is the limit set for that. How can I adjust the vmod in this motherboard.

I have done this vmode and I broke my motherboard AC support. I had just pushed the unpeu voltage with the potentiometer too a high one. I did this with the motherboard to make the overclocking much stable and play games on my system. But my chipset burnt as it was not capable of handling heat. I had given the same to service center and hope that it will be back soon.
Another A8NSLI Premium Vmod
It is about a trivial vmode here on a A8N-SLI which is in my system and it should be adaptable to any config, including graphics cards, but instead of having to adjust to Precision trimmer, the latter could be resolve. Like you set the Vcore in the bios, the interface is at the discretion of the user. Here vmode the motherboard is a difficult task and changing frequency can make your board dead.
And the chipset though less important because by default it allows me to mount already at 300 FSB. To replace the conventional trimmer, it uses digital potentiometers, and I chose the Microchip MCP41010 because it is cheap, obviously corresponds to a 10K. It allows adjustment over a range of 256 values. But the circuit does not allow more than 1mA flow, so check settings well.
Another A8NSLI Premium Vmod
I checked the voltage on the board you can use cpu-z, ai booster (software overclock asus) and especially on Everest. This tools matches and shows 1.55 volts on my processor. I had connected a fan with black lead to the potentiometer, and I connected with another driver, etc.
you are wrong about the direction of rotation of the potentiometer. I am currently in 1.75volts and my temperature is 55 ° which is right. Otherwise, I am stable at 2750mhz o Appears To be 2200mhz with my x2 4200 +. Here I want to aks that weather it is reasonable further to increase the vcore of the system. Does this will give any wrong effect on my system.
Usually in my case it is possible to set the same to 1.8 V without too much problem. The multimeter is right an inductor or a pint MOS around and take the CPU Vcore here (or there may be measurement points that went with the vmode). I will not stay on 1.8V more and will also move above that. I believe that is the most stable frequency which I am using right now.
