There are various types of phone systems available, fundamentally, depending on their traffic. Traffic means number of phones, feature and lines etc. some important systems involve,

Single-line Phones: these are most simple systems that are usually used in an average home. They can be purchased easily from any appliances store. These systems have no additional working or extensions and not capable to transfer call. These are best for offices, homes and small businesses. This system can be installed easily with the help of any local phone company.

Multiple line phone system: This is suitable arrangement for a business that has moderate or large phone calls and helps to deal with all these calls efficiently. This system has usually two or more extensions depending on the requirement. It helps to manage a small business efficiently. It also contains voice mail system that keeps the record of missed calls.

Multiple- line for large business: A large business always requires some lager system to deal its requirements competently. Large business means, some 50 or plus employs with large number of phone calls. So, in such situation this phone system is suitable to handle the load.

Private branch exchange system is suitable for medium as well as large companies. This system is offered in various sizes and rich features.

Key system unit: This system is appropriate for small organizations. It is bit cheaper, thus helps to save money.
