A trend for the desktop PC user these days is to get hold of a Bluetooth wireless keyboard. In fact, I use a laptop exclusively and I sometimes prefer to use my Bluetooth keyboard with it, for comfort and ease of use when compared to the laptop keyboard, which is a bit confining.
Why bother with a Bluetooth keyboard?
One reason I cited above. Plus, I don't know about you but for me, having a hundred wires around me is a pain and frustrating too. I have a surround sound LCD television which is great and I love it! But look at the back of it and the wires are popping out and in from all directions. Its a mess!
Now okay, a couple of wires from a keyboard or even a single wire from a keyboard back to the CPU is no real big deal but the fact is, it still adds that much to the clutter. And for me, I like clutter free and particularly where I am working with my computer. So I don't want to have a single wire crossing my path when I am sitting at the computer. As the saying goes and its totally applicable here and less is more!
I just wish there was a Bluetooth hoover!
Simply down to the advances in battery life and advances in networking via wireless technology, very soon every single thing that requires a communication pathway to your computer (and back again) will be wireless. So, this will include keyboard of course, mouse (most of which are wireless now, thank goodness!), printer, digital camera, mobile phone, television and yes television. I often sit with my wide screen television hooked up to my laptop using only my Bluetooth wireless keyboard. Its fantastic! The flexibility of it is awesome, it really is!
