• Great build quality that is synonymous with Sony Viao laptops
• Blu-ray playback this function really takes advantage of the HDMI connectivity
• Expandable to 8GB RAM more memory means more multi-tasking abilities
• Uses DDR3 RAM for the entire laptop which is much faster than the previous DDR2 RAM and GDDR3 RAM for the graphics card.
• Runs cool to the touch with almost no noise from the fans while in operation

Cons

• Features average battery life (up to 4 hours)

This laptop from Sony comes highly recommended it has all the things necessary for entertainment a HD display, blu-ray player, discrete graphics, DDR3 memory, Core 2 Duo processor and it's HDMI compatible. All that for under $1000, sounds like a great deal to me.
