AM3 Phenom 955 - Setting Voltage causing BSOD
have a MSI board with Phenom 955. This processor looks like a heavy tool for overclocking. But in my case I found a BSOD error. I had heard a lot about the Turbo thing in this processor. But as I increase the voltage after some moment the system crashed down showing up blue screen. I had use the BIOS just to increase up some frequency providing some food to the processor. But not worked fine.
DDR3-1066 is less efficient than DDR2-800 and DDR3-1333 is not ahead in all cases. Officially, the Phenom II, moreover, that only support DDR3-1333 with 2 bars and DDR3-1066 with 4 bars. In DDR3-1600, is still before the DDR2-800 timings whatever, but the gains are nothing fantastic. Intel Turbo is one of the features of the processor, and as such, if a Core i7 was unstable in Turbo, it could be taken as collateral. This is not the case for this feature AMD.

This time it points to a black spot II of the Phenom 955, a consumer extensively revised upward. Power consumption is revised upwards could only fear for the CPU temperature and actually it is also revised upwards. Second disappointment so for this processor. So that might be issue due to the processor power consumption. Do you have a appropriate PSU in your system. It is recommend that for overclocking their must be a standard 440w power supply or higher.
In my case I found a similar error after 50% overclocking hte processor to 50%.The path is paved with crashes, it's normal at this level and because of 3200-3600 there 12% in frequency. With reference to the method o / c in three steps: 1 / determine the max FSB CM 2 / determine maximum frequency processor 3 / determine max ram and if you have tested the FSB 400 @ 8 * 400 = 3200, thereby jamming it would be nice processor, the errors of drivers, hot plug or audio chipset.

As always bothered by my problem with OC, I ask myself new questions, namely the error code of BSOD I mug OC, as I have stated in the title, the code appears on every BSOD OC failure is 0x0000124. I should mention that my settings are good, I already checked by the No Information and I know my BIOS to force the heart to go overboard, and it's not because they have increased the voltage even exaggerated (eg 1.55 V 18x200 = 3.6 GHz) always with the same worries.
