Food Processor Recipes: Vegetable Cream Soup

Creamy Root Vegetable Soup
Ingredients:
* 1/2 pound onions, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces * 1-2 leeks (about 6-inches of white part), cleaned, dried and cut into 1-inch pieces * 1 clove garlic, peeled * 1-1/2 pounds Yukon Gold or russet potatoes, peeled * 1-1/4 pounds parsnips, peeled * 1-1/4 pounds turnips, peeled * 1-1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter * cup dry white wine or vermouth * 4 cups low sodium vegetable or chicken stock * 2 cups water * 1-2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided, to taste * 1/4 teaspoon white pepper * 1-1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice * -1 cup heavy or light cream, optional chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish
Directions:
Put the onions, leeks, and garlic in Cuisinart Food Processor equipped with the "s" metal blade. Beat ten to fifteen times to slash. Take out and put aside. Put in the medium cutting disc (4mm) Apply average force to slice the potatoes, parsnips, and turnips.
Over a medium heat, place a large saucepan, and melt the butter. Incorporate the chopped onion mixture until the onions turns translucent, do not brown. Pour the wine and cook for five minutes. When the froth settles down, include the onions and cook until it has become soft for around five minutes. Be sure not to brown. Pour in the stock, water, cut up potatoes, parsnips, turnips and 1 teaspoon of salt. Wait until it boils, then lower heat, simmer for around twenty minutes almost uncovered, until the veggies are supple.
Separate the solids from the liquid and set aside the liquid in a clean sauce pot.
Whenever needed, work in groups, puree the soup solids in the Cuisinart food processor equipped with the metal blade "s" pouring in some liquid, until rich and smooth for around thirty to forty seconds. When done pureeing each group, pour in to the cooking liquid in a clean sauce pot. Over low heat, heat for several minutes, and blend in cream if desired. Reheat soup on top of low heat, add seasonings: salt, white pepper, and fresh lemon juice. Place in warm bowls and decorate with minced fresh chives or parsley.

Computer Cooling $92.4 Computer cooling is the process of removing heat from computer components. Because a computer systems components produce large amounts of heat during operation, this heat must be dissipated in order to keep these components within their safe operating temperatures. In addition to maintaining normative function, varied cooling methods are used to either achieve greater processor performance (overclocking), or else to reduce the noise pollution caused by typical (ie. cooling fans) cooling methods (cf. ergonomics). Components which produce heat and are susceptible to performance loss and damage include integrated circuits such as CPUs, chipset and graphics cards, along with hard drives (though excessive cooling of hard drives has been found to have negative effects). Overheated parts generally exhibit a shorter maximum lifespan and may give sporadic problems resulting in system freezes or crashes.
