Processor Q6600

Upgrading CPU on my XPS M1710

recently purchased a XPS m1710. It had a t7600 cpu(2.33 ghz c2d) and I wanted to upgrade this chip to the t7600g chip that is the exactly same chip except it is overclackable. Anyone here are aware about this if it is possible and if you all think as possible then can you tell me where can I score a t7600g chip? Do you all have any suggestion then let me know ......

As you already know the processor contained in the laptop are very costly and I wouldn't even bother. I was getting at a CPU upgrade for my Dell laptop a much before and when I come to see a C2D T7500 (2.2GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB) costly more than a Q6600. One thing also should be mentioned here is that it would be much complex and risky procedure to replace AND laptop processors don't overclock well at all. I would suggest you not to go for that currently.

I don't think, there is no any chip as a t7600g. It is commonly as a t7600 dell associated the g as a sales scam. You can easily get an unoverclockable dell 2.33 and just start to flash the BIOS with the overclocking properties. Actually, the difference is only the method in which chips are constructed. In large groups then checked at much maximum speeds until they fail. So the t7600g is guaranteed to be active at 3.178 as mine does. The computer usually runs with the 10-15c lower completely overclocked using every type of temperature sensor and fan managed that you know. I would easily get a t7600 from intel and if your BIOS getting low in the performance properties flash the BIOS. Although, there can be the risk of a worst flash.

Upgrading CPU on my XPS M1710

I got very strange name as dell inspriron fanio which is very good according to me . Strange it doesn't indicate that xps the extreme performance system. I have no any confusion that we could ban together and screw dell in a class action rules suit for business in-correction. I am currently running on my fourth m1710 xps that is not in my book more like pos m1710. It ended up on its own two times and 3rd time I dropped it while had pneumonia dell spent three months accusing my mother.

Hey guys ! I am running with the dell XPS m1710 laptop. The processor that is currently is as follows:

Is it possible to have this upgraded, or once a processor is in a laptop, its very difficult to unplug from the motherboard and all ? I am not sure that much about upgrades with laptops, It can be done with the desktop computer and it is a much simpler. I was just thinking that if my laptop will have more day in the respect of processors in years to come.

The CPU with that you are running onto your mother board is going to last for a some years to be in functioning for more tasks and goes well. Obviously,you can go for upgrade, I Am sure T7400 2.2Ghz and

T7600 2.4Ghz will be compatible for such task.It might much more practice and knowledge about the upgrade procedure of the entire laptop. The M Memories are being unplugged by Intel, and future (and also few of then are recent )processors will not be able to perform anything. The proper one that you can find is a T7600, a very little upgrade on the T7200.
