Buying a Used Saturn Sky
The performance of this piece of dreamy used car heaven, Sky Red Line, is unbeatable. The engine 2.0L with direct injection betrays its power, especially with the I-4 Turbo, which produces a massive 260 horsepower that leaves you wanting to step on the peddle. The transmission can be manual or automatic and this first class used vehicle accelerates in the blink of an eye.
In addition, the four stainless steel wheels each have independent suspension and braking is also individual with ABS, which combined with the stability control system and the ability to provide anti-roll characteristics makes this used vehicle subject to maximum asphalt time.
There are two engine versions for this great used vehicle the first is a 177 horsepower inline 4 cylinder unit the second is the excitingly named Red Line version, which uses a turbo variant of the inline 4 cylinder engine that puts out an impressive 260 horsepower. Not is the Redline version much quicker off the mark it also features a considerably stiffer suspension set up that helps with better cornering and road handling qualities.
This used Saturn's exterior is seductive and shameless, a car for any man who wants to make his presence noticed. The seats can be positioned in various ways; the steering wheel is adjustable, without mentioning the ubiquitous leather, carpets, cruise control and remote control for opening doors and the trunk.
Speaking of the trunk you will find that there is little in the way of storage space and what there is, is not particularly practical in a used Saturn Sky, but this is a sports car and presumably if you wanted storage you would buy a used station wagon.
The used Saturn Sky has exceeded the maximum score in all government frontal collision tests. It has front air bags with a dual-state sensor system, pre-tensioners on the seat belts, daytime running lights. When you buy a used car in this price range you will not often find the OnStar system, which offers the most prominent security available, but with a used Sky, that is what you will get.
This system can contact emergency services automatically if one of the airbags is deployed. If an occupant is injured and can not respond, the GPS system will tell the OnStar staff where the vehicle is, what was the force of impact the number of airbags deployed and, with all that information , OnStar can notify the emergency services.
