Cooling Mechanism in Computers, A Must for the Fast Computers
When buying an Assembled PC most of us give comparatively less attention in Cooling System. It might be that we think that a minimum will serve our purpose. But modern CPU, GPU, RAM and even Hard Disk offer fast computing experience and for this reason they dissipate a lot of heat. The small heat sink provided by the manufacturer will serve the purpose if you are contended working with a Spreadsheet Package or a Presentation Package but situations differ when you are working with a Graphics Package or Editing a Video or playing a 3D game. These situations demand more CPU utilization which results in more heat dissipation. Then what it needs is a better cooling system than the default one.
A better cooling system becomes mandatory if we opt for overclocking. But what is overclocking? Overclocking is a process through which any component of a computer is made to work at a rate higher than the rate specified by the manufacturer of the component. Since the component is working at a higher rate hence it consumes more power than usual and hence dissipates more amount of heat. If cooling system is not sufficient then either the computer might freeze or a component might fail.
There are several ways to keep the CPU cool. In this article we will discuss some of them. You can also consult a computer repair company to get tech support in this regard.
Instead of using an inexpensive Computer chassis we can use one which has better air flow if at all we are dependent only on air cooling. Some of the brands that we can choose are Antec, Cooler Master, Asus, Foxconn, Gigabyte Technologies. Some of the best models are ACTS 840 or Cosmos 1000 or HAF932 /922 from Cooler Master, Sonata Series or Performance Series from Antec, and Cabinets from NZXT like Classic Series.
Using a separate cooler for each CPU, GPU, Ram and HDD will significantly keep the system cool and running. Some of the best CPU coolers are Freezer 13 or Freezer 7 from Arctic, and Hyper Z600R and V8 from Cooler Master.
A RAM cooler like one from Zaward can keep the RAM cool and working. A Google search will display more models to choose from. Buying a Heat Sink is not difficult as we only need to see the size of Heat Sink and the metal. It is worthy to mention here that a copper Heat Sink will function better than aluminum heat sink since Copper has better thermal conductivity but finding one is definitely rare and expensive.
There are also some alternate cooling systems other than the traditional air cooling system. These include liquid cooling and water cooling.
