How To Repair Dead Dell Inspiron 1545 15.6-Inch Monitor Screen
The screen on your laptop may become damaged or cracked if you drop the unit. However, the laptop is not a total loss. If you know how to repair a dead laptop monitor screen, you can easily bring life back to your laptop. The process for removing and replacing the laptop screen is actually very easy,and even a person with little to no skills can accomplish this task without needing any professional help. Once you see how easy it is to do and what to look for on the damaged monitor, you can buy a new screen and have your laptop up and running in no time.
Unplug the laptop and remove the battery. On the front of the DELL INSPIRON 1545 15.6-inch screen, remove the screw covers from the plastic bezel screen enclosure. Remove the screws with a Philips screwdriver. These screws are holding the plastic bezel in place. Gently lift the bezel and remove it from the laptop.Gently move the LDC screen away from the back plastic bezel. Only move the DELL INSPIRON 1545 15.6-inch screen enough to see the other two Philips screws holding the screen to the metal brackets. Use the screwdriver to remove the screws. Unscrew the bottom screw and then the top on both sides.
Move the DELL INSPIRON 1545 15.6-inch monitor screen and plastic bezel so it is at a 90-degree angle. Then carefully lay the screen down on the keyboard. Be careful not to disrupt the data and video cables. http://www.papatek.com/Panel156Inch/DELL-INSPIRON-1545.html
Lift up the piece of tape that is holding the video cable in place. Use your fingernail to slide the video cable out from the video connector. Some computers will have clips instead of tape holding the video cable. Next, remove the second piece of tape holding the cable at the rear of the screen.
Use your fingernails to separate the white inverter plug and the inverter. If you find that
the inverter is hard to maneuver, you may need to unscrew it first.
Remove the old DELL INSPIRON 1545 15.6-inch LCD screen. Place the new LCD screen in the position where you removed the old one. Connect the inverter and the video card. Replace the tape in the front and at the rear of the DELL INSPIRON 1545 15.6-inch screen.
Move the screen up to meet the rear plastic bezel. Replace the screws in the brackets doing the top first and then the bottom. Then press the screen gently back toward the back bezel. Add the front plastic bezel and screws. Then replace the screw covers, and you are done.
