The latest addition to the huge array of Dell Laptops is the ultra portable laptop called the Dell Adamo XPS 13 which is based on the sub Intel CULVER platform and comes pre loaded with the Windows 7 operating system, the specifications for which were officially unveiled by Dell earlier this year, and is now available in India at a price from around Rs 130000. The Dell Adamo XPS 13 Laptop comes with an Intel chipset GS45 ICH9M chipset and is powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor that runs at 1.4 GHz, and comes with 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz of memory, for storage it has a solid state drive of 128 GB.
It comes integrated with the GMA X4500MHD chipset for Graphics, and a screen which is 13.4 inches with a WXGA High Definition and has a LED Backlight with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, it also comes with a 2.0 megapixel webcam with an in built microphone interface and has Wi-Fi for connectivity to the internet. It also has Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, with a Display Port, 3.5 mm Audio jack and 2USB 2.0 jacks.
The Dell Adamo XPS 13 weighs in at just 1.44 kg with its 6-cell 20WH battery included in the weight the dimensions are 340 mm x 272 mm x 9.99 mm and comes pre installed with the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system. Therefore it is capable of using up to 4 GB of RAM. It is also provided with Ethernet adapters and DVI ports with an option of VGA and HDMI adapters. One also has an option of connecting an external optical drive or DVD combo drive or a Blu-Ray drive, and an external hard drive of 250 or 500 GB capacity. It is a much more powerful Laptop than the atom based Dell inspiron mini 10V.
