One major benefit, though, is the fact that nearly all of the R4 cards which are compliant with the new DS-i model are also backwards compatible, making them work with the original DS and DS Lite units. If you are looking for a new R4DS card and you want to find one which is sure to work with any style of DS, you may want to look for a card which is compliant with all DS styles, as this will ensure success no matter what type of Nintendo DS you are using.
