Houston Chevrolet Drivers Need Emergency Readiness Kit
Driving your Houston Chevrolet means you need to be ready for the road at all times. With your regular Chevrolet maintenance care, you also need to pack up an emergency kit for the road in case something should happen during your travels or commute. An emergency kit has all the supplies you might need in the event your break down or get stuck in your vehicle.
Ron Carter Chevrolet wants to make sure you are ready for anything so here are some tips for packing an emergency readiness kit on your own with having to pay for expensive prepackaged kits:
- Flashlights with extra batteries and lightbulbs
- Emergency road sign/white cloth for the window during a breakdown
- Road flares
- Jumper cables
- Tool kit with screwdrivers, wrench, and pliers
- Electrical tape
- Scissors
- Extra supply of car fluids
- Snow shovel and cat litter for winter driving traction
Personal items should also be packed in a bag for your own comfort should your vehicle become disabled. These items include:
- Canned food/Non-perishable foods
- Can opener
- Blankets
- Extra clothing (socks, sweatshirt, gloves)
- Books, puzzles to pass the time
- Toilet paper
- Extra cell phone charger
Even if you have a new or used Chevrolet, situations can occur leaving you stranded such as accidents or bad weather conditions. Your Houston Chevrolet has enough trunk space for you to keep a small bag packed and a sealable tote can store all of your supplies.
