2 Port KVM Switch: Economical switching solution for controlling 2 computers with one set of peripherals
A 2 Port KVM Switch is used to control two computers using one set of peripherals. A user can select the computer he needs via hot keys or push buttons located on the front of the unit. Compact in size, this device includes a kit eliminating the need to purchase additional cables. They support both USB as well as PS2 peripherals depending upon the type of switch being used. Peripherals such as Microsoft IntelliMouse, IntelliMouse Explorer, Logitech NetMouse can be used with these devices. Some models offer audio support meaning that they can enable sharing of speakers and a microphone between connected PCs.
Hot Pluggable, this KVM Switch can be easily installed. A user does not need to power down the computer or the Switch in order to add or remove more computers. Offering multi platform support, they work with DOS, Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/WinNT, Netware, Unix and Linux. The DDC, DDC2 and DDC2B protocols are supported by these devices. VGA, SVGA, XGA, QVGA, SXGA, UXGA, QXGA monitors can be connected to these switches which offer a high video resolution of 1920 x 1440 @ a bandwidth of 400 MHz. Requiring no additional software or drivers for operation, this switching device has an auto scan mode for monitoring PCs. These KVM Switches are equipped with LEDs which indicate the connection status and work on a buffering technology preventing system failure. Certified by RoHS, it is FCC and CE compliant.
