How to Prevent a APC Matrix 5000 acid spill

Leaking laptop Battery acid or a spill in the data center is not a good thing. The XR APC Matrix 5000 UPS Smart Cell is prone to leaks. These units mostly use automotive-type batteries in the cabinet XR, which are sealed and placed on the side.

In fact, I saw a few that blew over the caps and created a spill acid grave.

The best way to prevent a spill severe acid is to check these units at least once a day for excess heat.
