Before opening the back of your PC tower, you should remember to turn off the computer and unplug the power cord and the speakers to avoid any unfortunate accidents.

Now you need to find the video card slot on the back of your computer tower. Some computers have a button or buttons and pressing on that button opens the computer and some computers have screws and they need to be opened. You can use a screwdriver to open the back of the case.

After opening the case, first you need to locate the AGP slot. AGP slot is the special video card slot on your mother board. These slots can be hidden below the wires sometimes and you need to be careful in pushing those wires to find the slot. In general it is placed at the top of all the slots of your motherboard and it is located in slightly right side. The computer repair experts advise you to be very careful about touching these wires as this may cause some damage.

When you will locate the slot you need to remove the slot cover. Some PCs have easy opening options but most of them are fixed with screws. You need to remove the cover.

Now you have to look at the video card. You can see a small hook at the end of it. You need to place it directly over the video slot of the mother board. First you need to clamp or hook the end of the card and then you need to push it gently on both the front and back side of the card into the motherboard slot until it is perfectly snug. Once it is perfectly fitted into the slot you need to screw it down to the slot.

Now you need to screw up the computer and it is time to plug on your PC. Connect the monitor cable to the video card and give your PC a boot up. When the computer stars up it will continue functioning normally.

Open your control panel. Open the device manager. Click on the plus sign by sound, video and game controllers and check the device working before you turn off.
